Art on Metal
The process behind printing to metal is just as interesting as the final piece itself. A specially coated paper printed on a dye-sublimation press is transferred to a separate press that heats the print against the face of the metal at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. As the water in the ink evaporates, the ink transitions from a solid to gaseous state. After the metal cools, the ink becomes permanent and scratch-resistant, with no lamination needed.
The archival HD dye sublimation process infuses images directly into metal, resulting in vibrant artwork that’s both fade-resistant and water-resistant. These pieces are highly durable, resisting fading, scratches, and moisture, which means they can last over 150 years without degradation. The dye sublimation technique produces vivid colors and high-definition images, ensuring strong clarity and visual appeal.
The artwork features a modern, frameless design that gives the impression it’s floating on your wall, adding a sleek, contemporary touch to any space. Additionally, the pieces are lightweight, making them easy to hang and simple to clean with just a cloth. This environmentally friendly printing method is also more sustainable compared to traditional techniques.
Each piece is an original artwork, created on high-gloss aluminum. The back of each piece includes a one-inch brace and a French cleat for secure hanging.
